Our story
In 2018, most Egyptian businesses were stuck between two extremes: traditional advertising agencies who didn't understand how modern web engineering worked, and freelance developers who couldn't write commercial copy or track an ad dollar.
We started Digital Zone in a small room in Dokki with three laptops and one rule: whoever plans the marketing also writes the code or sits at the desk next to the person who does. No account managers acting as telephone games.
Today we operate from a 1930s villa in Maadi. We've stayed deliberately small at 18 people so every client speaks directly with the senior person doing the actual thinking and building.
First 4 client websites delivered for local Cairo retailers.
Shifted entirely to bespoke ecommerce engineering & local Egyptian payment gateways (Fawry, Paymob).
Expanded into full-funnel search engine optimization (SEO) and commercial paid acquisition across Meta & Google.
Moved to our permanent villa studio on Road 218 in Maadi; reached 100+ delivered projects.
18 full-time designers, developers and strategists; 41 recurring business partners across Greater Cairo and the Gulf.
